LONESTAR STRATOCASTER
Last Update: 2023.08.23
This page is in the process of being repurposed for the wonderful Lone Star Stratocaster.
This is a VERY good sounding Fender pickguard.
The HSS Lonestar Stratocaster has a rather strange arrangement, but mostly it’s the single coils that are odd
Humbucker: Twin Head Vintage – This is a well know one that is documented under Humbuckers and easy to identify
The 2 Single coils are actually TEXAS SPECIAL pickups. The Neck is Black and White wired and the Middle is RWRP and is Black Yellow
There is markings on them but they are very strange, but it you look VERY close you’ll see a 17 and an 18 (Neck and Middle) which help identify them. Sometimes they have no numbers. It’s easy to recognize the cloth covered wires.
There are also version of this that use the Pearly Gates Seymour Duncan pickup.
Wiring: There are a few version of this but basically they use the S1 Switch that wires the Neck in Series with the Middle AND some Split the Coil.
The earlier version of the LoneStar THE PEARLY GATES Version does not use the S-1 Switching system and uses a super Switch instead.
