Fender Red Satin Standard Stratocaster
2014 Fender MIM
It’s fun when you get to take a basic stratocaster and make it something amazing. I always thought the Red Satin color was interesting, and then decided, what if I took a stock MIM neck and rolled the edges like the upper level American Strats. Well, WOW. Nice, Then of course, lets upgrade the rest…
Features
- Red Satin Color (Red Satin is essentially an unpolished color coat)
- Circuit: This is a little different, because it’s a push pull on the 2nd tone (normal) but the wiring of the 5 position switch is very different. Positions 3-5 are dedicated to the dually and the 2nd position is the middle pickup, the 1st position is the neck pickup. It’s interesting to say the least.
- Pickups:
- Neck: Dually Hot Gold Lace Sensor (one of the best dually’s)
- Middle: Silver Lace Sensor (Middle)
- JB Jr Neck – Seymour Duncan
- Tuners: BRUSHED Schaller Locking Tuners
- Accessories: Custom Red Swirl Pickguard
- Neck: Maple, Hand Rolled. Feels like a deeper C.
