What’s better than 1 or 2 options? How about 5 options!! The beauty of this design it’s a SINGLE switch position for each wiring option. Instead of confusing multiple switches, it’s all built into 1. To make it even better positions 1 AND 6 are both stock switching so if you get lost, you can just turn it ether all the way clockwise OR counter clockwise to get back to a pure stock Fender Stratocaster wiring. This was upgraded in V2 to have more flexibility and difference between positions.
What was the next evolution in Base Model Circuits? The Strat-O-Twister was born out of the idea of having one control for multiple wiring setups. Of course, there is the “OLD” Vari-Tone idea. We’ve done that but it’s not that interesting. Usually you dial into one cap you like and you’re done with it. But what if you could change wiring!? That’s when cool comes in.
This is implemented by installing a SINGLE 6 position rotary switch into TONE 1 position. Of course, other changes can be made, like different caps values, etc on special order but this makes up the BASE MODEL.
