Which Fender Blues Jr Amp?

What’s the differences? What’s the Same? What are the versions. It’s all confusing and Love Fender Tube amps so I did research to try to separate out the specifications and what comes stock and what mods might exist and why. This page is a work in progress. -Bruce

  • Fender Spring Reverb – Modified circuit (later in circuit) so it’s not as noisy and has more reverb.
  • Includes footswitch for reverb
  • Celestion 12″ A-Type speaker
  • Removed Sparkle Circuit
  • Return of standard Fender Handle

NOTES:

• Jenson 12D is a warming sound speaker so really helps out the Blues JR III which has the sparkle circuit.
• Reverb appears weaker and more noisy on the Blues Jr III
• Some Blues Jr were made in US then moved to Mexico

For those who like easy tweek, just change the speaker out, there are LOTS of speakers that work fine with Blues Jr <whatever> so I’ll let you do that research.
